Meet Scott

Scott is a very accomplished percussive specialist. He has run his own drum and percussion tutoring business for the past 18 years. Over this period, he taught percussion through various schools in the Geelong region, and also privately as well. His vast knowledge of percussion and drum kit performance has influenced many young musicians in the region.

A particular passion of Scott’s is teaching hand drums (such as the African Djembe) in small group ensembles, using his collection of world percussion instruments. He has prepared and helped run events for his percussion endeavours, including performance opportunities for his students.

In addition, Scott is compiling all of his knowledge of world instruments and how to play them into a series of thoroughly written music educational books.
