Meet Adam

MUSIC TUTOR

Hi, my name is Adam, and I’m studying teaching at ACU. I’ve been playing the piano since the beginning of high school, where I eventually took it as part of my VCE Music class. Since then, I’ve continued practicing in my own time and have also picked up the organ, which I now play at church on Sundays.

I’ve always loved the vast range of expression the piano can achieve, especially how the emotions of a composer, living in a time far removed from today, can still be felt by anyone willing to learn their music. I hope to pass on this sense of wonder to my students so they, too, can see the piano as more than just a bunch of cool-sounding buttons.

There’s a quote I once printed on a coffee cup for my music teacher after my Year 12 exams. It is true, though cheesy: “Without music, life would Bb.”
